About Gliwice

Gliwice is a city in southern Poland’s Silesian Voivodeship, part of a large industrial and metropolitan region.

It serves as a local center with over 20 administrative districts that reflect its varied character.

The city has a distinctive architectural heritage including the world’s tallest wooden structure, the Gliwice Radio Tower. In summer, Gliwice functions as a base for trips to the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, a notable natural area north of the city. The nearby Katowice Airport connects the area internationally.
